Congratulations are in order to Lyne for her patience, hard work, creative thinking, and determination over the years in helping her little bichon mix Jasmine figure out flyball.  Jasmine is now doing full runs with a fully sprung box!  Jasmine's new little "sister", Fannie, is also showing great promise with a serious motor giving her tons of speed.

Oops, it's been a while since we posted any news! Since our last update we've had some new members join and some older members move on to other endeavours, but the club continues to practice every week, and Lucy continues to participate in a few tournaments each year as a guest with Doggone Ballistic.

Some noteworthy recent events include Lucy posting a new personal best time of 5.0 seconds on April 24th at the U-Fli tournament in Navan, and Jasmine catching the ball from the triggered box for the very first time earlier this month! Good job!

Lucy raced with Kia, Rocky, and Niki at Montreal's Olympic Stadium in a huge two-ring tournament held in conjunction with the NAFA AGM. Lucy earned her Flyball Master title, marking the occasion with her first really nice flyball photo:

Seasoned pros Sammy and Lucy were thrilled to be joined in the racing lanes by teammates Tashtego and Tucker who made their official flyball debut! They were joined by special guest Nicky who did a great job as height dog. Jenn, running Sammy in starts, got an amazing -.001 start! Tucker (who was run by his adopted handler Lyne since CM couldn't come) and Tashtego ran really well after a few heats during which they figured everything out!

In Region 20's first co-hosted tournament, Lucy ran with Devin, Tika, Twiz, and Keno, everyone picking up a ton of points. Tashtego, Zara, and Tucker did a fantastic job with head to head singles and pairs racing at the open practice Saturday night!

Lucy joined Keno, Jett, and Rayne for a weekend of hot summer racing.

Sammy and Lucy spent a very warm weekend racing with Glimpse, Maya, and Blink. Sammy earned her Flyball Dog Champion Gold (FDCh-G)! Tashtego, Milo, Zara, and Tucker joined in Saturday night for the open practice:

Lucy and Sammy made the trek to Trenton's beautiful Community Gardens to race with Envy and Chaos at HDD's annual spring tournament. All four dogs ran really well, picking up a ton of points. Lucy earned her Flyball Dog Champion Gold (FDCh-G)!

Sammy and Lucy joined up with Maxi and Idgie this weekend, with Jasmine making her debut as warmup dog. After two weekends in a row of flyball, Lucy and Sammy are ready for a well deserved break!

Sammy and Lucy raced together on the same team for the first time, joined by special guests Niki and Blink. All four dogs are rescues, a perfect match for this tournament's theme, with all proceeds going to rescue. Sammy ran in start and set a new best time of 4.7! Lucy ran in second and also set a new best time of 5.2. Milo also joined in the fun, making his warmup dog debut.
